Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese massage that stimulates the body’s self-healing powers.

Shiatsu promotes your well-being and helps with: stress-related complaints such as burnout, lack of energy, restlessness, insomnia and much more. Physical complaints such as back, head and joint pain, tension, jaw and eye strain, and also during pregnancy.
My journey into health and well being begain in 1996 as a Shiatsu therapist. With almost thirty years experience, I know how effective Shiatsu is for deep relaxation, stress reduction and stress resilience, and for stimulating the person’s own internal resources for regeneration.

Through deep relaxation, Shiatsu treatments can not only support your health and well-being, but also increase your energy levels, relieve stress, and improve sleep quality.
The word Shiatsu literally means finger pressure. It is also known as acupuncture without needles. It is a form of therapeutic bodywork based on the principle of applying pressure. This pressure stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and promotes physical, mental and emotional well-being.
In addition to gentle rhythmic techniques, deeper physical and energetic techniques are also used, including acupressure (finger pressure), stretching, breathing and joint mobilisation.
A treatment lasts approximately one hour and takes place on the floor on a futon. We can also work on a massage table. Wear comfortable clothing and socks for the treatment.

Ben Parsons has been a certified Shiatsu practitioner for over 20 years and has gained a wealth of experience. He completed his training in London in 2000 and has since participated in workshops with Ohashi Sensei, Koichi Tohei Sensei, Suzanne Yates, Wilfried Rappenecker, Saul Goodman, and others.
